The Stanley 98 & 99 Hand Plane are specialty hand planes designed to widen dados or rabbits, making it a valuable tool. The Stanley 99 is for the left hand and the the Stanley 98 is the right handed version. This versatile plane is a must-have but they are always missing parts or pitted blades.

Common Issues/Features:Missing blade. Blade in need of proper sharpening or pitted. Missing handle or snapped off handle. Missing depth stop or lever cap. Not all models have depth stops. When looking train you eye to look for the grove on the back that the depth stop slides on.
