Small parts can be awkward to hold and plane. With this upgrade, you can work with the plane in hand or secure it upside down in a vise and move the stock across the blade. It becomes a handy little jointing station for the pieces you’re fitting by hand.

I designed this by extending the original side plate downward. That extra depth lets the plate register against the face of your work while the blade trims the edge, helping you keep the two square. A familiar plane becomes even more useful.
