Stanley’s rare pre-standard 10-28 thread, faithfully brought back by Woodyah. Now available with a clean slotted head design that looks right and works even better.
These screws are one of those parts that are always missing. You won’t find them in hardware stores, and originals are often long gone (or “borrowed”). So we made them proper: crisp 10-28 threads, big grip heads, and a no-compromise fit. Perfect for keeping your vintage planes in service instead of on the shelf.
Common uses include the Stanley 45, 66 rear tension screw, 80 tension screw, 78, 98/99, and various spokeshaves. In short: these cover a lot of ground in the Stanley lineup. You can get these and cut them down if you have a custom application or your making your own fixtures.
Note: This version is slightly longer than our 10-28 × 3/8" screws (which we also sell in both slotted and unslotted head styles). These are used on pretty much all the tools. You can try for yourself.
Don’t risk stripping your tool with the wrong thread.
Go Big Head Grip. Hold tighter. Problem solved.
