Missing tension screws are one of the most common problems with the Stanley No. 49 Auger Bit Depth Gauge. Without them, the cutter can't be secured properly, turning a useful tool into a parts hunt.
After years of seeing incomplete examples, I decided to reproduce them. These replacement tension screws are made to the correct thread and length so they firmly secure the cutter just as intended.
Original screws are rarely found on their own, and reproductions simply haven't been available. Until now.
My goal has always been simple: keep great tools working and woodworkers in the shop, not part hunting.
