This kit replaces the hardware that holds your plane together: rear tote rod, front knob rod, and a 12-20 domed head rear tote screw. No more crusty, rusty, bent, or missing parts.

You got the wood. We got the screws. Supplies are limited.

Pro tip: I make the rods slightly long so you can trim for a perfect fit.

What you’re getting

• (1) Rear tote rod — 12-20 threaded, 4" (trim to fit)
• (1) Front knob rod — 12-20 threaded, 3" (trim to fit)
• (1) 12-20 domed head screw — fits Stanley #4-1/2 through #8 and also works with Bedrocks
• Wood or Brass caps not included (use your originals)

Fitment is simple (about 2 minutes)

1. Test fit the rod on your plane.
2. Cut to length (a hacksaw works great).
3. Lightly file the end chamfer.
4. Install and you’re set.

No special tools. Just a quick trim for a clean, factory-like fit.

Why I made these

People are always restoring planes, and tote/knob hardware is one of those parts that’s constantly missing or trashed. I couldn’t find a good direct replacement—so I said, “Let’s do it.”

Supplies are limited because these take time to make, and they go fast when restorers find them.
