Squirrel Tail For Block Plane

Introducing Woodyahs take on a Rear Grip Block Plane Accessory. It is designed to attach to your block plane with no modification. With this accessory installed you will have control & comfort. I have also been told that this accessory helps people that have certain types of grip issues.

This grip is made from a material called Nylon 12. It's super strong and durable.

I not only designed the rear grip but we had a custom brass nut made to secure the grip to the body. This nut was designed for the non standard threads that these block planes use. The grip will hold strong and you can remove it with no modification to your plane.

I dreamed up because I didn't want to pay for a Stanley 9/34 block plane. The way I designed it was universal to most vertical post block planes. The bonus is they are also very affordable. The Squirrel Tails are built with with an anti-slip feature, so once installed you should have no fear.
